Hair loss comes in a number of different forms. Listed below are
the main types of hairloss and the characteristics of each type.

Alopecia
Areata (AA)
Used to describe hair loss occurring in patches anywhere
on the body. It is a benign condition (causes no harm to
the body) but it can be psychologically distressing to persons
suffering hair loss from AA. |

Totalis (AT)
Begins with rapidly growing circumscribed patches on the
scalp and ends with complete loss of all the hair on the
head. |
